This software and its associated documentation files (the "Software") are proprietary and confidential.

No part of the Software may be copied, modified, merged, published, distributed, sublicensed, or sold without the express prior written permission of the copyright holder.

GRANT OF LICENSE

Subject to the terms and conditions of this License, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the Software for personal or internal business use on devices you own or control.

RESTRICTIONS

You may NOT:

Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Software.

Redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or lend the Software or any copy thereof.

Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices on or in the Software.

Use the Software in any manner that violates applicable local, national, or international laws.

Create derivative works based on the Software.

THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS

The Software incorporates open-source components, including but not limited to Electron, Ollama client libraries, and highlight.js. These components are governed by their respective open-source licenses. The proprietary terms of this License apply only to the Software as a whole and to components authored by Residence AI that are not separately licensed under open-source terms.

AI MODELS

The Software incorporates the Ollama runtime and may download AI model files based on user selection. Residence AI does not host, distribute, alter, or license any third‑party AI models. All downloaded models are provided by external sources and remain subject to their respective licenses. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and complying with the license terms of any AI model they choose to obtain or use through the Software. Residence AI’s functionality is limited to facilitating local installation and execution with one click install.

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COPYRIGHT HOLDER BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.

TERMINATION

This License is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if you fail to comply with any term of this License. Upon termination, you must destroy all copies of the Software.
