1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Residence AI (“Software”, “Service”, “we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the Software.

2. Description of Service

Residence AI is a local, offline personal AI system that runs directly on your device. The Software includes:

ResidentAI (Core)

ResidentWeb

ResidentDocs

ResidentCode

ResidentArt

ResidentData

ResidentSecure

All processing occurs locally on the user’s hardware. No cloud services are provided or required.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Residence AI. By using the Software, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. License Grant

Residence AI is licensed, not sold. When you purchase a license, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, single-device license to install and use the Software for personal or professional use.

You may not:

Resell, rent, or lease the Software

Share license keys

Modify, reverse engineer, or decompile the Software

Distribute the Software or its components

Licenses may be revoked for violation of these Terms.

5. Software Updates

Residence AI may provide updates, patches, or improvements. Updates may include performance enhancements, bug fixes, security improvements, or new features. We are not obligated to provide updates, and older versions may become unsupported.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

Use the Software for unlawful purposes

Attempt to bypass licensing or activation systems

Interfere with or modify the Software

Use the Software to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content

Upload Residence AI to any cloud service or remote server

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device.

7. Privacy & Data Handling

Residence AI is designed to operate fully offline. We do not collect personal data, store user content, transmit information to external servers, or require accounts or cloud access. All data processed by Residence AI remains on your device.

8. Intellectual Property

All software, branding, graphics, documentation, and content are the property of Residence AI Canada. You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, modify, or publish any part of the Software or its assets without written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Software is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, including performance, accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. You use the Software at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Residence AI Canada is not liable for:

Damages resulting from use or inability to use the Software

Data loss

Device issues

Generated content

Third-party actions

Indirect or consequential damages

Your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the Software.

11. Generated Content

Residence AI may generate text, code, images, or other outputs. You are solely responsible for reviewing generated content, ensuring accuracy, ensuring compliance with laws, and determining suitability for your use case. We do not guarantee correctness or appropriateness of generated content.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license if you violate these Terms, attempt unauthorized distribution, bypass licensing systems, or misuse the Software. Upon termination, you must stop using the Software and delete all copies.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, unless otherwise required by your local jurisdiction.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The “Last Updated” date will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the Software means you accept the updated Terms.
